Thanks for that link!

From the manual: "iAUDIO 7’s ultra-slim size of 76.1 X 35.6 X 19 mm"...
It takes a special kind of genius to describe 19mm as ultra-slim [smile] Sure, we may like the chunky player anyway, but 19mm hasn't been ultra-slim for a long time!

One thing the iAudio 7 doesn’t own up to is the thinness standard that seems to be today’s fashion. In comparison to the iPod Nano the i7 is plain fat ...
I started writing the review - but that's just my opinion :p

Yep, if it's going to be that fat they could have used an AA cell or two and made me happy.

Battery life of 50 hours according to the manual??

50 or 60 - the manual says both in different places. I think the 50 is probably a left-over from the I6 .. the I7 manual is a (not very good) cut&shut job from the I6 manual (hence the comment about HDD noise in recordings, at the end).

Recently heard "iAudio 7" and "iAudio I7" whats the difference? Or is it just me being a bell-end.

lol, don't worry about it, the i7 and iAudio 7 are both the same, the i7 is just short hand

Hello,
May be you can help me. Is it really impossible to create ( or at least play ) other playlists than DPL ? Quite strange in such a player.

Thanks for answer

Yes, as far as I know nobody has managed to do that yet. Yes, it is really stupid. Yes, Cowon have been asked to fix it .. however there has been no I7 firmware release for months and months now, so maybe it will never be fixed .. unless someone manages to port Rockbox to the I7.

Here is the revised i7 manual (v1.3) that I pulled off the support CD, that was included with the player I bought last week. I don't see this version online yet.

Haven't done a side-by-side comparison to v1.0, but I can say that references to "50hr playback" and "USB Host" appear to have been removed.
