Anyone ever had this problem before or know how to resolve it?
When i play a song after a minute or so it will automatically lower the volume itself down to 0. It does this even if I have it on hold.
I have reflashed the firmware but it hasnt resolved the problem.
Any ideas?

How old is the unit? Have you noticed any problems with the joystick?

Its about 1 and a half years old.
No ive had no problems with the joystick. I dont think its a joystick problem though as it even happens when the unit is on hold!

The joystick was a hunch. If you are in the US or Canada, contact Cowon Tech support via Live Chat at http://support.cowonamerica.com/supportcentral/index.php. I have never heard of this problem before on any of the iaudio forums I frequent.

Never of heard of this before? Dam. I think the unit is destroyed.
The other day i posted saying it was lowering itself to 0, now the player goes up and down in volume and then in and out of albums. All by itself. There is absoloutly no control over the song/album/volume selection. As i said it doesnt appear to be a joystick problem but more of a software problem as it keeps putting hold on and off by itself and the A/B buttons.
Its a euro modle to.
So i believe it to be a software problem. The only problem is i have upgraded the software twice now and its just gotten worse each time.
Is the unit wrecked beyond repair do you think?
This just happened totally out of the blue, the day beofre i go on holidays to.
I think you should contact Cowon and look into getting it repaired.

When i get back from holidays i will re format it completly and then if that doesnt work I shall contact Cowan about getting it repaired.
It is over 2 years old though so I dont think they will be intrested tbh.
If anyone else has any ideas I would appreciate them!
Well, it's Cowon, not Cowan.
Also they'll certainly be interested in repairing it for you; it just won't be free.
Afraid that's the only idea I have.

If all the input buttons are giving trouble then sending back to Cowon is probably the best option. Or Sell it (as 'broken') to someone who needs a new disk or battery or case or something, and buy a new player.
