i7 or U3

I have just ordered a U3 but after looking at the i7 it seems it might be worth getting that instead since it has longer battery life, a slightly bigger screen and the interface looks nicer. The size between the two is almost no difference, although the i7 is about £30 more do you think it would be worth it? (Also twice the memory of the U3 I ordered).

The U3 is history, the I7 is the new kid on the block .. how badly do you want something with bugs, but 'newness'? Me, I'd probably get the I7, if only because I can have 8GB that way right now, 16GB later maybe ... but I might wait to see if the firmware has any particular gotchas. The I6 didn't have a great rep, but I think a lot of that was the 0.85" disk drive (a very dumb, expensive, energy inefficient, and unreliable way of delivering 4GB of storage).

Hmm, not heard anythign amazing about the i7 so far. Maybe best to stick with what works (and is slightly cheaper and smaller).

Maybe best to stick with what works (and is slightly cheaper and smaller).yeah, if your not going to play around with your DAP for say... 56hrs then get the U3. the i7 just comes with a different control system, some new added features to the JetEffect (as seen in Cowon's D2), and has a rated Battery Life up to 60hrs (plus the sound-mw is only 52mw where as the U3's is 60mw)..
