View Full Version : IG88 has picture of X5 in hand...:o(
Findings so far:
1. Print quality is excellent
2. Colours 4800 dpi
3. Weight - 1g approx
4. Dimensions - 10cm x 5 cm
Compared to a picture I once saw of the iPod I have to say this is of superior quality and contains much more detail (the iPod picture was only three colours!).
I should be getting a picture of a Rio Karma tomorrow, Not really that interested in this one but I suppose it is only fair to compare more than just one alternative.
more updates as I continue my analysis...
Hello IG88,
How lucky you are ! Here in france those picture are too expensive (probably due to taxes) , but may be you can send me one from your country ?
I have many questions :
1) Based on those picture, can you tell us how the sound quality is ?
2) Can you put the picture in your pocket ? i'm really concerned by size !
3) When you proudly show your picture to your friends (especially girls), how do they react, are they impressed ? Currently i have a picture of my GeForce 6600 and i can't say my popularity has growth :(
Thanks for sharing with us your impressions !
Sphax,
1. THe sound quality is excellent, no rustling whatsoever
2. I can fold or roll the picture quite small so it will fit in my pocket and even my wallet very easily. I am sure constant folding will damage the picture eventually and I am considering laminating it to preserve the quality.
3. Haven't shown the picture to anyone yet as I have only just got hold of it, But I am sure my firends will love it!
...
lol
Can you take a picture of your picture and compare it to a picture of a picture of the h3xx?

I would think he should be able, providing of course there are no photo protection or photo DRM codes to crack before sharing, also are there any pixel rate limitations..lol
...and in more recent news, the iAudiophile community today reached an all-time low at nearly 400% nerdliness...
Hi!
I don't really get it...What is the big deal of having a picture of the x5?
Please explain...

Surely this joke is now very much over?
Hi All,
I have been looking at my picture all weekend. It is standing up quite well to all the gawking from my mates too!
However, I made a bit of a mistake and left it out in the garden on Sunday afternoon.. This is sad story so don't read on if you are easily disturbed or upset...
I was enjoying the day, the sun was shining and the birds were singing, my son was playing in the sand pit and my wife was cooking the lunch. My X5 picture looked good!
After an hour or so I went in doors to help my wife in the kitchen (I am a modern man afterall). On my return to the garden I was shocked to find my son, with my wonderful X5 picture in hand.
His hands were dirty.. I can't even begin to tell you about the image in front of me. I cautiously approached him, hoping to retrieve the colourful image without causing any further damage. I was too late.
He spotted me creeping up behind him and ran!
Then falling he landed in the flower bed!!! The X5 picture was being held precariously above the dirt. I dived to grab the picture, caught it before it hit the dirt but then the unthinkable happened and it ripped.......
Fortunately the rip was not through the screen, but it is no longer the same.
If any of you have had a similar experience with photos of any kind I would like to hear them, I feel alone at the moment and need to know that there is someone out there that knows how I feel...

It helps to read the topic of this post twice :)

Hi IG
What a sad story, I think everyone has experienced bad 'ripping' at some stage. Why don't you try to re-rip it and see if the quality improves, maybe try 32°, 64° and if it doesn't seem that much better you could always try a ripping session at 96°, 128° all the way up to 320°.
Keeping on going until you have tried around 7 or 8 different ripping rates and if it still isn't looking to good, the next thing to do would be to get a thin stick like a piece of bamboo cane and a drawing pin or tack. Insert the pin through the centre of the picture and into one end of the stick. Now your picture has been transformed into a great little toy windmill for your son to enjoy. Hopefully then you will once again regain the happiness you originally found by watching your son enjoying your re-incarnated X5 picture.
(Obviously had it been laminated first then it would offer a bit of extra weather protection, but not to worry.)
Happy memories!!
