Screen Protector...

First of all, hello!
I was using your forum for a while (with Iaudio X5) and today I decided to register because I'll get Cowon A2 in a few days.
So i have a question about screen protectors.
It's written in the site I buyed the player from, that the player comes with a case.
Now, I guess it comes with this case always, but I have no idea what case is it, so first question is what is this case? Does it protects the screen or not?
Second question: I barely got the money for the player (I live in Israel and the price of it here is 1780 NIS - about 426 dollars). So It would be really difficult for me to get another 20 dollars or something like that for a screen protector. It's important? Or do you have other ideas how to protect the screen from dust and scratches?

The case can protect the screen when it is not opened, but it won't protect the 4 corners of the player very well.
Here are some pictures I just took, as you can see, once you have the case opened, the screen doesn't get much protection from the case, but you should be watching it then (instead of carrying it in your bag), so I think it'd be fine

ronlut: about the pros and cons of screen protectors, there are already many threads discussing them. Why not give the SEARCH function a try?
