i've read quite a bit in this forum about dust getting under the F2's screen.
this problem is the only thing holding me back from getting the player, so can you people tell me who has this problem and who doesn't?
and for the people that DO have the dust problem, does anyone know a final solution to getting the dust out?

i have a good bit of dust within the first layer of the screen. not too bad though. i just can't see well in bright sunlight. at night i see the screen just fine. this shouldn't really be a big issue. it was for me at one point but i got over it. i guess a good fix would be to buy a can of compressed air and spray into the USB host port area. i haven't tried that but i've tried blowing in there myself and it didn't seem to do much and nor... did i see any dust move at all. this really shouldn't be a draw back. i'm getting the iAudio 7 and be giving my F2 to my step-brother so i'm cool like that.

haha no one has any clue how that dust got in there?
like through the USB port (probably not since it has a cover), mic hole, microscopic tunnels in the adhesive under the screen... etc?
and would, let's say, keeping it in a noreve case all the time prevent that dust?

keeping it in those cases (which are nice and i would love... to get one) would provide some cover. i can't say dust still can't get in though. dust can be collected through the mic or the USB host port. i believe dust can get through the corners of the screen as well. i think Cowon didn't realize that they made a slight error in development of the screen. the U3, iAudio 6 and the U2 don't have any reports (that i know of) of getting dust in the screen. i would say in all to get the case. that would atleast provide some... protection from dust. better yet go to like a computer repair store or whatever and see if they can do anything to get the dust out.
