hmm.... i have an F2 2GB and this little DAP has a battery Life of 17-21hrs based on my test. i'm really exciting about the battery life on this iAudio 7. i mean the D2 has what... 38-48hrs of battery life? this is amazing! the replace of a hard drive too Flash Memory really does a impact on things. processing info., transfer speeds, problems we all face, and so on. the Wide JetEffect feature within the Equalizer is added with this DAP. i'm looking forward to seeing what this does actually being i'm not an expert on all the sound testings or whatever. i'm also not a big guy on Codecs and what not. as long as it plays AVI or XviD for video and MP3, WMA, and OGG for music i'm fine. i'm a hardware guy just to let everyone know :)

well, really my biggest concern for the iAudio 7 is battery life at this time. sound will come second and features third. i'll probably give a nice little review when i get a chance. this DAP will probably be $182 upon it's release in Korea. for the US i'm not sure. maybe less but who knows. i'm getting the black/red 4GB model (if they'll have that color here in the states i hope).

i have a question that might interest some users. ever thought about if the controls for the iAudio 7&6 would ever someday not work? i mean as in hardware form like if the battery did something or if it got dropped and not beng able to fix it? wouldn't that be upsetting... :( that was just on my mind as the controls concern me a bit. when i finally have the iAudio 7 in my hands i'll hug it and promise that i'll take care of it. it'll be my second little buddy. heh, my F2 will have a cousin. Aww... thats sweet Lol!

heres just a few images of the iAudio 7 if you haven't seen guest or users...

hi again,

here with a question. will the iAudio 7 have any issues with dust getting in the screen? the F2 had this problem but that could be for how it was built.

If we're talking about things to know about the i7, I'd quite like to know:

What is the boot up time, from Off to Playing?
Does it resume properly, as in: turn it on, and it continues playing from where it was when it was turned off, without any further interaction? Compare with the D2, which doesn't, and requires an extra couple of clicks to select Music mode after turning on.
Can the Album Art be displayed from a jpg in the folder, or does MTP mode have to be used to get Album Art?
Is the slide-touch button thing sensitive to being left in a pocket without Hold turned on? Or does it just respond to finger-touch?
Does the display stay on/bright all the time, or does it time out? If it times out, can it be made to turn back on without any other side effects (like pausing playback, or changing the volume, or bringing up a menu). I just want the screen back on so I can check the name of the track.
Can it play music while charging?
Hopefully once some real reviews start arriving, I'll be able to get some answers to these.
