the iAudio 7! who's getting one?

hi guys and girls,

well, being a F2 owner i can say i'm quite shocked how long this baby has lasted. the battery life is still good but the screen has dust within the first LCD screen layer :( now though (since i read the news over at the Korea Site) i'm focused on the iAudio 7 as it's twice as good. Battery Life, Sound, just a bit more features added to the JetEffect and more! i'm going to grab this baby ASAP! though i'll have to get use to the controls but that's no big deal.

I'm getting one, i was looking for a very portable cowon player. Can't decided between U3, F2, and i6 but i was about to buy a i6 (better features than the other two even if the micro hdd spoiled all the good work on this player) when i heard about the upcomming i7 : Great news. that's what i was waiting for, the F2, U3, i6 all in one player (i expect good sound quality :jamming: and recording like u3/F2).

I got my eyes on the 8Gb red/black i7. [thumbsup]

i'm getting the 4GB model which color is sliver i believe. i can't wait! Vodka_ice if you were to choose a player if NOT knowing the iAudio 7 then you should pick the F2. sound and features are the same on all. controls are different on all of them but the battery life is 2hr's better on the F2. the good thing about the iAudio 7 is that it's flash based, has a new chipset built-in and has way... better battery life due... to the new chipset and flash based memory.

I second that! My sister has the F2 and it's a brilliant player! I have the D2 myself but my sister is just so portable and with a great FM tuner inside.

The iAudio 7 looks sweet as hell. It is like the iAudio 6 with all the nasty bits cut out. It will be a kickass player!

The release date for the iAudio 7 in the good old United Kingdom is set for the end of june, so only over a week to wait.

I will let you drooling americans know what its like as im sure you won't be getting it anywhere near that date.

I thought i saw a post of some pics of the EQ for the i7 here somewhere and couldnt find them again, it will be interesting to see if the D2 and the i7 have very similar sound sigs. The internal amps may vary as the D2 is promoted as high output mW, but i haven't seen the output specs of the i7 yet, hopefully theres someone who has/gets both that will provide some comparisions in time :)

The iAudio 7 output is indeed 26mW + 26mW which makes it one of Cowons weaker output players, which seems very strange to me considering my F2 is rated at 60mW.

I wouldn't say its disapointingly low :) it may be a different sound sig altogether compared to the D2 (i think its likely) and do look forward to comparisions when they are made in the future [yes]

The lower output would also be part of what gives the i7 a 60Hr rated battery life

i guess you have a point AussiePie. actually i'm just into the new added EQ feature and battery life at the moment. the sound should still sound great.

I received my demo i7 from Cowon the other day, haven't had a huge amount of time to play with it but it's certainly an awesome little unit. Navigation etc. is just the same as the i6, but a lot faster (i guess due to flash memory). Looks like another great model for Cowon!

NEWS FLASH: sadly i won't be getting mine right away at its release. i'm buying a new camera but i will indeed buy the iAudio 7 within 4 weeks after its release.
