Voice recording limit?

Is there a limit on the amount of time one can use the voice recorder for outside of the paramaters of how much memory you have remaining? I have tried to use the voice recorder twice for recording my band. I see the maximum time on the screen and the timer of how much i have recorded. This last time for example, the maximum remaining recording time was something like 2 hours and 49 minutes and i used the recorder in the neighborhood of 1 hour and 45 minutes. After i go to stop the recorder and close out the recording function, i go back and try and play what has been recorded, but i get a track that has 0 seconds on it. This has happened twice to me, and i'm not sure why. I have been successful in recording up to a few minutes at a time.

Does anybody have any clues as to what is going on here?

I guess that the variantion in time dispalyed is connected with the ability to record on the memory left?
But do these 0-sec files play on your PC ?? Maybe the player in unable to operate on too long ones ...

Thanks for the reply, but no. There is memory left sufficient, as evidenced by how much time the player tells me i have remaining to record. I was about an hour short of the maximum. I just tried to play on the pc, but the 0 second files don't even show up.

okay, i just got off with cowon's live support. This is something they have not heard of before. They suggested i update to firmware 2.45, but they said since this is not a known issue, there are no fixes documented in any firmware for this. They said that they would report it as a bug and hopefully it will be addressed in the future. I was just wondering if anyone else could try this if they have some spare memory and time to see if the same thing happens on their player.

I know it's a bit of a pain, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Really...wow. Maybe it is the firmware. I think i'll try updating. I currently have 2.41 and never changed it because i didn't think i needed any of the other functions. Thanks for taking the time to do this!!!
