a little background:
i've used both the U2 and the U3 so i'm pretty much familiar with the Cowon GUI and features. i love cowon's iaudio series and refuse to switch to another mp3 brand player. i gave the U2 to my sister after purchasing the U3, and now looking to get the F2, because after constant U3 use and abuse (daily 2 hour commute to work & 1 hour workout sessions at the gym almost every day) the hold button no longer works and the joystick broke... it has a mind of it's own now. its long past warranty period so i'm just looking to upgrade to the F2
i've done my share of research on the F2, and just wanted your guys' personal opinions about specific issues
things attracting me to get the F2:
longer battery life (hey, 2 extra hours does make a difference)
better FM radio reception
apparently better build (why worry about a joystick malfunctioning when there are dedicated buttons)
things that concern me about the F2:
1) unusually small buttons:
being a joystick person, will this be initially difficult to get used to?
keep in mind when im driving or working out i relied heavily on the joystick as if it were a remote control and i really didn't have to look at it
2) vertical design:
after using both the U2 and U3 which are horizontal type designs, is this odd getting used to? you know... since most photos and video resolutions are designed for more horizontal screens.
if so, does the F2 have a feature where you can set the screen orientation to "90 degrees" or "horizontal" so one doesn't always have to flip the player or turn one's head sideways to view a file?
any responses will be greatly appreciated
