Flash freezing your D2? Here's what to do [Archive]

I've tried a bunch of Flash animations, and a lot of them cause the D2 to freeze, or the screen totally blacks out (but the D2 is still on, though you might not know it).

When flash freezes your D2, hold the power switch in the 'off' position for about 10 seconds. Even if you don't see a 'good-bye' screen, it'll force the D2 to power off.

My friends tried the flash animations, then came running to me when they couldn't turn their D2 units back on. So hold that switch!

Just hit the round button behind the panel where the usb connection and power connections are ( a small hole actually).

Actually it's much easier to hold the Off button ;)

There's times like when we're in the gym and no one has a little pen or paper clip to press the reset button.

But thanks for the tip on the reset button, that'll come in handy also! [smile]

HAHA ! genius! just copped that the wee D2 stylus can be used to poke that reset hole, man they really did think out some aspects of the D2 well!

Yeah thats what I do... use the stylus... but then again if you dont carry it with you..

connect the d2 to your pc and delete the flashfile... then it should working fine

ok, that works... if i am at home ;) but fortunately after 10 minutes the d2 starts working normal again. is there a more stable flash in 3.51?
