voice recording

I am planning to buy an G3, but first I like to have an answer to my questions on voice recording. Is the quality of the voice recording good? Can I record a conversation between two or more people? HOe long is the recordtime when I have 1G?

my wife uses hers (g3) to record all her classes, so that she can transcribe it at home.

the holes for the mic seem to be alittle off. but it works well enough
as for the amount that you can record
it bepends on the space you have left on the player , and the bit rate you record at (mp3,wav ,128,96 and so on)

i use it (also) to record my two months old daughter, a lovely voice :)

i find very useful the voice activation recording, that records only when sound is loud enough. of course you can set the activation sensibility at your wish. yes, it can be pretty sensible.

mic/line in recording volume level is customizable as well as the quality (min is wav/8, max is mp3/128).
