Despite the fact that the Korean version will have DMB which is totally useless for anyone outside of Korea... the only recommendation I have is to make friends with someone who knows Korean and find out if any of the sites in Korea that sell the item ship it internationally.

I assume you realize that a Korean version will ship with DMB which you won't be able to use...so if nothing else, you'll be paying extra for essentially worthless features....

Besides, you will get Korean menus

Yup completely pointless action as mentioned above, there would be no advantage whatsoever.

If Omega Mars understands what the korean version consists of, lets try and help them out and not dissuade then from buying the Q5.

I agree, you need to find someone in korea who is willing to purchase you the Q5 and then ship it to you. You may find some korean users on this board, who may be willing.

^ aug/sept ish.

Just so you know "Omega Mars", that's not a set date, it could be a lot later, it's just the forums guess on when it will be here.

maybe the korean version can be firmware updated later with the english version?

^ i think you will find you can change the language on any Cowon player in the settings. An import from korea will just be set to the korean language by default.

The firmware isn't the issue though, the onboard hardware is.

^ of course, just implying you can change the language no matter where ones buys it from. All we know by now DMB and whatnot will be exclusive to Q5 Korea.

that's true about DMB. but it's a paything anyway, who wants to use that. Plus, I doubt there will be anything interesting here in Europe... Maybe it's different in the US.
Other than DMB, there's the WI-FI issue. Apparently, on the korean pics you can see the wi-fi is a USB stick... Let's hope they make something different in US/Europe. I really don't understand why they haven't put the wi-fi inside the Q5, this is weird. The competitors like Archos, they all have it inside...

@In2sky Im sure dmb on these things only work in Korea and in the other threads its said (rumoured) Us/Eur models will have inbuilt wifi in place of dmb

I think it's a good thing that they put wifi inside and get rid of dmb.
now let's see when they release it here :-)

Is it sad, that I had a dream that I was the proud owner of a Q5?
