What are the differences between v 2.46 and 3.46?

What are the major differences between v 2.46 and 3.46?

I'm currently running 2.41 (USA) -- I use D2 for audio only.

I do love great Sound Quality -- thats all I use D2 for.

With this in mind, do you think its worth it for me to upgrade to 2.46 or 3.46 -- will I notice much improved sound quality or performance?

1.xx - Korean Firmware for DMB capable D2's
2.xx - International Firmware
3.xx - Korean Firmware with a great Chambers Dictionary (my choice =D)

I suggest you isntalling the 3.xx if you are ever using English dictionaries or ar annoyed in a tram :)

P.S.: 3.xx is fully compatible with International players, 1.xx isn't!!!

3.x has no MTP but 2.x has

The only difference is that 3.xx doesn't have MTP (pretty useles) but contains a Dictionary (very cool) :)

The only differences:

3.xx - korean firmware
- may void your warranty if your player came with a 2.xx
- does not have MTP
- has korean-english dictionary and also a english-english (chambers) dict

2.xx - international firmware
- intended for players outside of korea
- has MTP
- does not have dictionary function

if you want a dictionary use 3.xx. otherwise stick with 2.xx

its not officially listed on any other cowon site i.e. global or america except the korea website.

thus it could mean v3 is only 'officially' intened to be used with korean models only and created for these models only

someone also reported that when they bricked there D2 and spoke with cowon america reps they suggested that installing v3 of fw could have voided their warrents (or something like that; correct if wrong)

^ Yeah when someone emailed cowon for support regarding there bricked D2 they said the 3.xx voided there warrenty. Dunno if thats actually the case but i have 2.46 installed
