View Full Version : Is there a better way to convert video?
When i am doing the Jet Audio conversion, i am given 2 choices. One is the crop, and the other one. The crop one makes it fill the whole screen, but it cuts off the sides of the movie, and the other one dosen't fill up the whole screen. Is there a way that i can get the movie to fill up the whole screen, without sacraficing the sides of the movie, or the quality of it?
You may want to check in the Video and Recordings (http://www.iaudiophile.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=59) section, but if you're trying to size a widescreen movie for the D2's non-widescreen display . . . you either need to accept bars at top and bottom (i.e., fit width), crop the sides (i.e., fit height) or squish all the content to fit both width and height . . . which makes everything appear taller and thinner than normal. Other encoders can do all three options, but the latter is kinda useless, IMHO.
Somebody please correct me if I'm off, here.

Wader; Couldnīt agree more :-)
Me, personally, prefer to see the whole LCD used, even if things are thinier... I use the iriverter converter.

That's what crop option is for.
