Rockbox for the D2?

What do you guys think? Will it ever happen?

I really like the idea of Rockbox, but I really want a D2.
I hope Someday Rockbox can be put on a D2.

Will the touch screen pose problems, or will some devs spend time to implement it nicely?

General thoughts and opinions? [smile]

Yes. It's supposed to be just excellent. It's open source software, too, so you can contribute code or documentation if you want to help out.

Whether or not Rockbox gets ported to the D2 is a question which is answered by the number of capable developers who own the D2 and want to make a Rockbox port for it. So, I understand what it takes to get Rockbox on the D2, but I just wanted to hear what other people had to say about it. [smile]

I don't know if this has already been posted but in the rockbox forum they want to start a new port for the D2 but I am no programmer but i know that there are people like maxst and others who have created themes and logos that are very good with hardware and software. I really like the stuff that i found on there and i just wanted to give a shout to any people who are good at stuff like that to help with getting rockbox on the D2.
Someone has posted that they have the recovery drivers and i'm not sure but i think that is a big step, i know some people don't like the way that cowon do their firmware; here is your chance to change it.
