Hi,

Just to check when u guys are using Windows Vista Home Premium, do you have any problems locating the D2 when plugging in the USB cable? Does Vista automatically installs the drivers for u or u have to locate it yourself?

My problem is when I first plug in, it searches Windows Update for drivers but cannot locate the drivers automatically and I have to keep specifically locate it to search for C:\Windows\System32 folder whenever it pops out the new hardware found dialog.

Is there anyway to solve this problem because it seems like this happens whenever i plug in any new usb device like thumbdrive or normal usb mouse. I suppose this problem is because of Vista.

Vista sucks. End of story =p.
Go back to XP until they've made vista better.

I've been running Vista for a few months now, no issues.
I also have a Creative Zen Sleek Photo (MTP), and Vista picked this up without any issue along with an older Rio Carbon.
The only issue I had when I got my D2 last week, is I plugged it into a powered USB 2 hub, it couldn't find the drivers.
Once I plugged in my device into my PC directly, within seconds, Vista saw, and installed the driver for the device. It mounted the SD slot and the DAP with drive letters without an issue.
What I would suggest first, is make sure you have your D2 plugged into the PC directly, for some reason this is the only DAP I cannot plug into a hub (and it is powered, I noticed later than Cowen states this (no hub) in their manual). This solved my issue with my D2.
If plugging it into your PC still doesn't work. Go into device manager, and see if you see any exclamation points near any entries that the D2 would be in.
If you see any entries like this, right click the entry and choose update driver and see if it finds the correct driver on your PC or Windows Update.

Yep, no issue with Vista whatsoever so far in any app.
Anyway, quick question, did you download JetShell and Jetaudio from Cowon or are you using the apps. from the CD?
I downloaded them from Cowon thinking these are newer, but wasn't sure.
The ones off their site say XP only, but I have no issue running them on Vista. I just want to make sure that I am not missung features that the programs off the CD have that the download doesn't.
I downloaded Jetaudio from here:

and JetShell from here:

Thanks.
