I was fishing around the Korean Cowon site. I just click on anything that looks like a link and see what happens. I downloaded this software (http://board.cowon.com/zeroboard/zboard.php?id=C08&page=1&sn1=&divpage=1&bmenu=iAUDIO&category=37&sn=off&ss=on&sc=on&select_arrange=headnum&bmenu=iAUDIO&desc=asc&no=401&bmenu=iAUDIO), I think it might be fw 1.00. Any opinions?

did everyone know that if you look up a foreign website in google, you have to option to translate it? This was how I did it... type "http://board.cowon.com" in google search... then on the first link you will see a link that says "Translate this page." You will see something for the Cowon D2. Don't worry about it. Just look to the left and you will see a link in a grayed out box called " Firmware/software" . You will then be taken to the link that ecardwell1 mentioned above. And there you go!! For all that do not want to do all that...
Here is what it said:

ye, i found this a few days ago, i dled the firmware/application program, its really interesting to see wots included in this. You can access all the images which make up the GUI, so it must be possible to edit and create your own GUI's.
As well as this ive noticed programs in the fw such as flashplayer, calander, watch, as well as all the standard stuff.
take a peak @ http://board.cowon.com/zeroboard/zboard.php?id=C50&page=1&sn1=&divpage=2&bmenu=C&sn=off&ss=on&sc=on&select_arrange=headnum&bmenu=C&desc=asc&no=10623&bmenu=C#
someone has already got their hands on the Q5 and taken a few pics.
now im really excited about the Q5. on the cowon site it just didnt seem real after all the delays and stuff. but with that personal pix. now its real.
im looking for an alternate form of portable comp/media player. dont want to log around my ibook. something smaller and lighter will do. i dont need big hard drives cause that is what my main computer is for plus all the externals hooked to it that holds my massive music/video collection.
q5 will be top on my list. just cant wait til its release here in the US.

I tried to run appz in wince emulator, but no go. maybe someone with more knowledge will have more luck.
i notice that flash is version 7, that means you can view flash sites like gootube.

I tried the same thing dansus72. The appz didn't run in WinCE emulator or in XP Home. Maybe it'll work in the emulator if you have XP Professional.

Yes, says something simular.
You using XP pro or home? (vista?)
I've tried the same under XP Pro.
No success, it seems that the files are not the original files.
I downloaded (from the emulator) the Adobe Flash player from adobe.com and compared the files.
The files are the same version exactly, but there's 40Kb different in the file size.... weird..
Maybe cowon's files are digitally signed?
Yes I was using XP Pro SP2
