This thread contains finished themes only.

Feel free to post theme preview pics and download

Themes built for Firmware 2.53/3.53 will work on any firmware up to 2.57/3.57.

DO NOT
make a post without a theme, i mean NO unfinished themes, NO comments about a theme, NO requests, NO information, nothing if it isn't a finished theme.
A Non-theme post may result in a 48 HOUR BAN (http://iaudiophile.net/forums/showpost.php?p=137721&postcount=9).

If you have changed something, you can edit your post.
If you post a thread without a screenshot and another user posts the same skin with a screenshot, the screenshotless post will be deleted - however, credit will be given to the themes creator

This thread should only contain finished themes, so that users can browse through this thread, looking for a theme they like and download it.
They can compare themes easily.

Please let this be a finished theme-thread only and respect the rules ... for the downloaders sake.

New method to make a theme:

You simply need 3 files:
New TGAtoD2 (http://www.iaudiophile.net/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=2886&d=1209173791), New D2toTGA (http://www.iaudiophile.net/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=2883&d=1209146358) and New D2Screen (http://www.iaudiophile.net/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=2667&d=1203493572)

1.: Put D2toTGA and the original D2N_rs.bin into the same folder and execute D2toTGA.
All the pictures the theme contains will appear in the folder.

Edit pictures to change the theme:

- The image size must not be modified, or else your theme won't work.

Here's a tool to help you with the new D2toTGA: 17 PSD files with marks for a good sizing icons. (http://s3.archive-host.com/membres/up/1312293560/DenCowon/Marks-made-for-themes.rar)

- The TGA-files have a special alpha layer:
You'll find it in layer menu, under the RGB colors, there is a layer named "Alpha 1".

This layer is for transparency:
White = Full view
Black = Invisible
Grey = Transparency (more or less with the grey level)

- Save the TGA at 32 bit.

2.: After modifying the theme, put TGAtoD2 in the folder where the modified TGAs are located.
Put the D2N_rs.bin in the same folder if it isn't already there.
Now execute TGAtoD2. Your "D2N_rs.bin" should be updated.

3.: Now paste D2screen into the folder your theme file is resting.
Executing D2screen will make 3 screenshots of your current theme.

4.: Say 47 times "thank YOU" to MaxSt, because without him there wouldn't be much theming in here.

New method to transcribe a theme for another firmware:

1 - download here new tools to do it, they have same name than before, but are really easier to use:

- New TGAtoD2 (http://www.iaudiophile.net/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=2886&d=1209173791)

- New D2toTGA (http://www.iaudiophile.net/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=2883&d=1209146358)

2 - Copy in a folder (folder1) the original "D2N_rs.bin",
and the "D2N_rs.bin" from the theme downloaded in another folder (folder2).

3 - Copy D2toTGA and execute it, in folder 2.
A lot of pictures will be created.

4 - Copy pictures from folder 2 to folder 1 (copy only pictures, do not copy D2N_rs.bin).

5 - Copy TGAtoD2 and execute it in folder 1.

And that's it ! Now you have just to copy the changed "D2N_rs.bin" from folder 1 to the D2 root, and restart it !

(MaxSt had a published a new D2Screen (http://www.iaudiophile.net/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=2667&d=1203493572) too, to have a preview of the theme.
If you have a changed "D2N_font.bin" in the same folder, it will show the theme with this font)

€: How to apply the theme/startup logo

You put the D2N_rs.bin into the root directory of the D2. Then you restart it and watch the progress bar till the update is done and the D2 switches off automatically. Then you restart again and the theme should be applied. Then you connect your D2 to your pc again and put the logo.lib (if yours isn't called logo.lib you have to rename it first) into the system folder of your D2. Now also the startup logo should be working.

Here is my first theme [thumbsup] . i changed only the icons and the wallpaper. but now it is perfekt to me :D. It is best, when you cange the font color to yellow!!!

on the main menü picture the Utlilities icon is too left. it is only on that picture, no idea why?!?! [no] maybe the screenviewer for pc is not perfect for FW 2.50b.

So finally here it is. My iPhone Theme for D2:
(find bugs? find something could be better? send me PM!)

it has 2 versions. first the fish wallpaper and 2nd a black/silver wallpaper (iphone originally has black/silver). both wallpapers are inside the .rar data from the download below. so you can decide which one do you like more. additional the logo.ilb is in the .rar data.

Download:

Installation:
1. download an unrar the "v0.4.rar".
2. put the both wallpapers in X:/D2/PICTURES (so you can choose later which one you like)
3. put the "logo.ilb" into X:/D2/SYSTEM
4. put the "D2N_rs.bin" to X:/D2
5. disconnect D2 from PC and start D2 -> flash will be done -> after autoshut down, restart 2nd time.
6. enjoy

Description:
All Main Icons are either taken directly from the iPhone or are made to look alike.
All Main Icons highlight when they get clicked on.
The sub menu is also skinned with new buttons (special thanks to “Cassini” because I used icons from his Aluminium Beginning Theme)
Play, Pause, Stop ect. + Navigation Buttons are new.
Album-Art icon is the same as the album-art in the video screen.
Progress- Radio Bar and EQ have a new colour.
Added new Folder icons for the submenu.
Added new Volume, Hold, and Battery Icons.

Please report any bugs or suggestions on how to improve the Theme.
I will update the Theme if any changes are made.

Updates:

v1.2: (29.July.07)
- New Music Icon with a D2 instead of an iPod on it.
- Black Background

V1.3: (30.July.07)
- New battery icon.
- Video screen now fits the theme with same buttons, icons, volume, and hold icon.
- Menu buttons in video mode are fixed and have new shine.
- Highlights are fixed in the video mode on the Play/Pause FF and FFR buttons.
- Icons in photo view mode now have black corners instead of white ones.

This a theme for those people who prefer the clean elegance of black as opposed to flashy colors. It is based on "iPhone Theme II v1.3" by "Fishfutter" because I think his choice of colors and buttons is just excellent and really suits my style.

The main screen icons are from kaitlyn2004's prototype theme (best one's I've seen so far) and the settings screen has the default icons that I just changed to monochrome. A few other small changes that I've made are making the volume icon a little smaller at the top so it matches the size of the others, changing the album art to the CD icon and adding a wallpaper that I think really complements the whole setup. I reccomend using white or a very light font color.

Also I have included the infamous "Jessica Alba in Sin City" startup screen by ScottFreeStyle, I've made it a bit faster and removed the personalization.

I like the original D2 interface - but I'm not fond of the cheesy colors, especially the blue. There, I said it. Almost all traces of blue (and most pink stuff) have been removed, the tacky "Digital Pride" album art placeholder has been replaced by a generic CD icon.

A whole new iPod/iPhone theme.
All new buttons and a great new design of the controls.
New Keyboard for Dictionary !!!

Description:
All Main Icons are taken directly from the iPod Touch.

All Main Icons highlight when they get clicked on.
The sub menu is also skinned with new buttons (special thanks to “Cassini” because I used some icons from his Utopia Theme)
Play, Pause, Stop ect. + Navigation Buttons are new and like the iPod Touch.
Progressbar and EQ have a new iPod colour.
Added new Folder icons for the submenu.
Added new iPod Volume, Hold, and Battery Icons.

Please report any bugs or suggestions on how to improve the Theme.
I will update the Theme if any changes are made.

Fishfutter having shown me that to create six icons, was not enough for making a theme,
I tried to make something of different, more coloured but legible.
I created the wallpaper from iPod advertising, and six new icons.
I had of install iTunes only to copy pictures for player's icons.
Thumb-indexes are of style "aqua", more representative of the mark,
with unsaturated symbols and black outline around letters for legibility.

Tested only with fw 2.51 with a bold font.

Utopia Ultimate Blue remastered

This is my modified version of Cassini's theme "Utopia Ultimate Blue"

Basically, I skinned the controls while playing a movie, so they look more like the rest of the theme. I also added a different default wallpaper, which improves readability compared to Cassini's original one. The wallpaper was made my manicho at deviantart.com.

MoreMono-T (the "T" stands for transparent) has even less clutter than my former MoreMono (http://iaudiophile.net/forums/showpost.php?p=144299&postcount=30) theme, and is perfect if you want a less crowded video screen. I also removed all icons from all main screen menu items, since they really aren't useful. Overall, the theme is now very to-the-point, without many distractions. Just the way I like it.

Plain_White

Today I proudly present the Plain_White theme. Designed especially for readability ans intuitivity, many icons and texts have been changed to be better understandable and look simpler.

The Photo controls are still looking a little weird, but I can live with that at the moment.

I appreciate comments about the design or suggestions. And if you don't mind, leave me a pm if you use it.

I only tested with firmware 2.51. That's why I don't provide a version for 3.xx firmware. You can convert the theme for 3.xx firmware with FURRs theme converter pack. I would appreciate if someone would convert it to 3.xx and test if everything looks right.

My Sweet's celebrating birthday today (sad that she's out of town and will come back tomorrow [sad])... She was talking about the need for a new mp3-player... my first reaction was to order an iPod at amazon... then I stumbled upon the D2... so, lets just hope she's as enthusiastic about it then I am [toungue]...

The main advantage i saw with the D2 is its open foundation, so I pimped it as good as I could, case, screen-protector, leather-case... and of course a unique (well, up to now [wink]) theme. Kudos to the artists I ripped the graphics from... madman (ClearView), Fishfutter (iTouch) and Digivate (iPhoneReskin)...

And as I finished this theme, I decided to give something back to this great community... keep up the good work guys [thumbsup]...

The theme is made for firmware versions x.54, x.55 and x.57. Installations instructions comes with the download package.

The VerticalClassic goes horizontal. As the VerticalClassic this is a modification of the ICowonClassic. Follow the installation instructions in the package. This theme goes with or without font for the menus, a font restoration is available. If something is wrong with the theme just pm me.

Projekt Alphabet:

This is just a theme I made a day when I was ill and home from school and had nothing else to do, it comes in two different collour schemes, Contrast and Wine and Olives. Included a font patch in download, this will erase all fonts in main, settings and utilities menu, just install it like a theme, it will not erase any of your files like a firmware upgrade. Watch atatched image for screenshots:

I really liked Lukekeee's CLEAN STEEL (http://iaudiophile.net/forums/showpost.php?p=194912&postcount=71) however I didn't like the obstructive controls (the menu buttons such as browser settings menu close).

I liked the browser settings menu close buttons from NEW BASIC STANDARD by Acer. (http://cowond2.god.su/index.php?name=Files&op=view_file&lid=428)

So I combied the best of both worlds and I present you my current theme, credit goes to Lukekee, Acer, those mentioned by Lukekee and Acer and a tiny bit to my self.

Dark Stage Theme

Today I proudly present the Dark Stage Theme. Designed to fit together with coconuts Dark Stage Flash skin, it's coloring and style resembles the great skin. With this Theme and Coconut's skin, you don't have a completely different style when switching from flash skin to the file browser or menu.
The normal now playing screen looks a bit ugly to me, but It's designed for flash skin use anyway.

The highlighted items in the menu are red. I modified the preview pictures by hand to show the color. It looks a bit stupid because I just painted over it and the anti aliasing got destroyed. It looks better in the real Theme.

The 3.57 Package includes The Dark Stage Flash Skin, so you can download it all at once, if you don't already have it. Instructions on how to configure the theme are here (http://www.iaudiophile.net/forums/showpost.php?p=175455&postcount=52)
