I think this needs a separate thread.

Most notably I'm interested in the SD card functionality (and breakdowns); ogg playback (still static?) and id3 tagged browsing.

based on early tests, it appears that shuffle mode is fixed!!

although i will have to do a lot more testing to rule out the possibility that it is still weighted to certain albums

I hate it when they just say 'stabilized other functions'

BTW, menu button can now be customized with an alternative LONG function (pressing the button for >1 sec)
the options are play/pause, next track, previous track

By fixed, I'm assuming you mean working better, not that they added subfolder capability? That's the main fix I'm looking for.

I did notice it seemed less useless than normal, but I'll check some more later.

This isn't a new option, it's been in the last few firmware versions. Might even have been in 2.20/2.21, I don't remember.

yeah, I've tried some shuffled music today and it seemed much better than in the earlier firmwares. [laugh] The shuffling with the 2.45 was really strange, it only played several artists all over [cursing]

I had no problems with that in 2.45b

EDIT: I use flac 1.1.2

This issue is *not* fixed, at least for me.

With 2.46, I'm still having the same issue with Flac 1.1.4 that I had under 2.41. Boot up is fine, and the D2 recognizes the track, but when I click on it to play it, the D2 flashes back to the start screen and reboots. [sad]

In 2.46 is now possible to change volume with +/- during reading of text. Great! [thumbsup]

I just found out somethingstrange with the shuffle function.
After I deleted all the files I had on the interior memory the shuffle function works perfect.
It's really strange, because before I deleted the files, the D2 had the bug that If I randomize and play from the SD card and then the D2's shuffle function choose a song from the interior memory the D2 seemed unable to play any files from the SD card then. ( i hope my discription does sound understandable)
strange bug though [blink]

Yup....I'd have to agree. Had one artist (two albums in 10 plus gigs) play 3 times in the 55 minutes it takes me to drive home from work. Another played twice.
This needs fixed.
