Help!

Today i tried my new tv-out cable. it's the original cowon one. the videos on my D2 are converted with Jetaudio in .avi and highest quality.
the problem is:
the video is displayed on the tv, but there is a stripe on the top where the colours look strange. besides, the sound sucks. it's very very quiet. (by the way i can hear some sound, when i'm using the music player... but i heared that that "line-out" function isn't working.... whatever)
moreover, is it normal that you cannot use the osd or else to conrol the video? my screen gets black and there is no way to scroll or stop.
another thing i recognized, is that you cant put the tv-out-cable-plug in the player completely... the edges of the plug and the player are in the way; about 2mm are remaining....

hoping for some help [blush]

I have got the same problem for the colorized bar.

And the high quality converted video on d2 look too big with pixels on the tv...

I had a colorized bar appear at the top of the screen when I first plugged in the cable. However, when I tried it again, it disappeared... Bad connection, perhaps? Try fiddling with the plug, see if anything happens to the image.

The volume is lower than for audio. I just crank up the player to about 30, and it's perfectly fine then. I find that at vol 30, the same volume levels are comfortable as when watching ordinary TV.

The screen of the D2 switches off completely when in TV-out mode. This probably could be addressed by firmware patch. It makes sense battery-wise, but means that you need to switch off the TV-out to control the video.

The 320x240 resolution is unfortunate, but it looks perfectly watchable to me. I only use the D2 to watch an episode or two of south park or family guy with my housemates; I don't think it was ever meant as a high-definition multimedia centre-type device. That's what DVD players are for.
Still, I certainly do hope that Cowon enable a higher resolution output. You guys might want to write Cowon an email (iaudio@cowon.com) requesting such a feature. The firmware of the D2 is being constantly upgraded, and I'm pretty sure the D2's hardware can support higher-resolution video.

well, the quality of the video is not the problem. maybe they fix it with firmware updates, maybe not.
but my problem is the colorized bar, which is not disappearing, and the sound. it's at such a low level, that when i'm turning the volume on the d2 to 50 i can barely hear the voices at full volume o my tv.
and the thing about music, i think you misunderstood me:
there was a discussion about whether you can use the tv-out cable as line-out, and they said its not possible. but i can listen to music on my tv, even if it's on the same low level as described above.
maybe youre right with the plug, but i already said it's not fittting..... i try to upload a picture lateron.

thx 4 your replies already
