Doesn't seem like a very impressive release, but it is more stable i suppose, unlike the beta.(Not tested)
so, 2.45 should be out in the next few days...
Will install this just as it is the proper release, will this erase my files or not.

What's the deal with firmware upgrades erasing all your files anyways? I mean, seriously, what the hell? You're telling me they can't find a way to avoid that?
yep unfortunally it will erase your files. tbh its no problem with me, its only 4gb of music.
now if it was a 60gb harddrive then i would start kicking and punching.

Yah agreed, it's not a huge deal.... but still an annoyance, and I just find it hard to believe that there is no way to fix it. Other players can do it? My X5 can do it?

I honestly don't understand why it does that in the first place. Even if its only 4gb, its still an inconvenience to have to put all your music and videos back on again, after a firmware upgrade.
I read the beta release didnt delete your files, weird

It did. I flashed the 3.45b beta when I got my D2, and it erased all the factory files that came preloaded.

remember copy contents of folder 0 to the root of the player > restart,
copy contents of folder 1 to the root of the player > restart,
copy contents of folder 2 to the root of the player > restart.

Just a caution...I flashed from 2.41 to 3.45 and my D2 doesn't work anymore after loading the Power Dictionary files. More info here http://iaudiophile.net/forums/showthread.php?t=14750

I also had 2.41, flashed to 3.45 as normal and it works fine.

When i went from 2.41 > 2.45b the files all remained after the update but all the personalized settings were deleted/reset, i think that the files will remain if the FW folder 0 is not used in the upgarde, but the folder 0 option is used in most upgardes especially when going between the 2.'s and the 3.'s :)

The Note Pad is kinda buggy. Sometime when drawing it makes a straight line. Anyone have this problem?

Yes... that has to do with the touch screen. I don't think a program will be able to fix this. Try pressing a little harder (not too much!) and being more deliberate.
anyone tried the track order in Music Library browsing mode? did they fix the sorting of OGG files by track number?
juts went from 3.45b to 3.45. no problems. don't overload the internal memory just after the update. leave some free space and everything should work fine.

It's not dangerous, if you have at 5mb left and follow the instructions.
Hay,
I'am trying to update my D2 from 2.45b to 3.45. But it doesnt work. I kopie the file D2n from map: 0 into system and when I disconnect and put my D2 back on there happands nothing.
What am I doing wrong?

You need to put the file in the root(D2 drive) directory not in the system.
You need to connect the d2 to pc and copy the files in 1 folder, then disconnect it.
power it on... wait for the update to finish then repeat with folder 2.

on 3.45? are you sure that's with id3 browsing (eg by album or artist) and not by folder?
