Its obviously a fake since even the name is wrong. The succesor of the X5 will be called X7 (officially confirmed by Cowon - for now at least)

Where in the pic does it say X6? I am sure doomlordis was just taking a guess at the name. Anyway this pic definitely doesn't look official, quality is way to bad and it looks far too similar to the X5.

Yes the image is a fake, but the quote above doesn't validate that fact, look at the A2 and A3, they look identical except for the colour.

You know ive actually spoken to a guy i met thru youtube who claims he has mockups of the original x7 designs. He hasnt gotten back to me yet, but he knew about the q5 last year when i spoke to him. So im gonna keep digging on that.

One thing that intrigued me alot was that he kept jabbering about, that it would have a touchscreen and that theyve been toying with a customizable "control system" that you could drag and position within the screen yourself. Sounds freaky.

Can anyone confirm if theyve heard the same rumour?

To be honest i think it sounds a bit too fancy for Cowon. Ive noticed theyve always kept kinda simple shapes and direct navigation. Anyhow, i just hope they stay clear of the road that apple is taking, cuz apple is just so boring and clean.

I like the fact that Apple are like porsches, but Cowon are more like limousines.

Ok well, i neither agree nor disagree because I believe the X7=D3 so in a sense it is not dead.

In another post I explained that I spoke with Cowon America and Korea (actually my colleague at work who wpeaks Korean). In either way please understand that.....I am disapointed as much as you guys are. No one here has posted a credible source to prove it is not dead. Cowon says they don't know anything about a X7 or X6 or...X anything. All I am saying is...well how de we know? because some one posted it on a website. Guys go to the source. I would prefer not to go to Archos but.......welll Cowon has this thing about not releasing DAP's on time. The A3 was supposed to be released in February...IT'S fricking AUGUST!!! Anyway. To be honest....I would like them to release an X7. It would be really cool to have an update to the x5. I have an x5 30gb and love it. Cheers dudes. Rock on.
