very fast startup with only data in sd card

after upgrading to a new f/w I found
very fast startup with only data in sd card, 3-5 sec startup

no data in d2 memory except for f/w

I have all my music on my d2 internal memory, and an audio book on sd-card, I have about 4sec startup...

I have 2 gigs of videos and images on the internal, and 8gb of music on an sd card, and I get 7-8 seconds startup unless I've just added media to it.

The startup time for most DAPs has more to do with the number of files (and to some extent folders) than the amount of data in total. i.e. 8*1GB files will start up really fast .. 8,000 * 1MB files will choke most players - at least the first time (those that cache the results of the file/tag search will do much better the second time).
