I just got an iAudio F2, and it is exactly what I wanted. Oh.. and LOUD.
BUT... The FM radio doesn't seem to work at all. I have tried everything I know to do. Updated to 1.13 of the firmware version (was originally 1.11), formatted the player, reset via the reset switch on the side of the player, I rolled back the firmware to 1.12, to see if that fixed the issue, nothing I have done seems to have any effect whatsoever.
Music and video works great, and both sound quite good (it's so loud... [thumbsup] ), but when I select the FM radio option, I get no audio at all. No static, no crackle, just silence, at any volume level. The autoscan option doesn't appear to find any stations either; I don't know what it looks like when it's successful, but it didn't stop, just went around the dial. I even, via JetShell, uploaded my own presets to the player. It accepted these, and the presets show in the device, but still, no audio.
I'd hate to think I have to return the thing, as I just got it, but I like to listen to NPR in the mornings, and also Atlanta Braves games. So it's not just a novelty item for me; the F2 having and FM radio was one of the deciding factors of me buying the item.
Any ideas, tricks, or updates you all can think of, please let me know. I've already contacted Cowon support on this issue, so they may have something that I can try. If I hear something from them, and it works, I'll be sure to post it here.
