View Full Version : Ever met another iAUDIOphile?
My question: Have you ever met or seen anyone else with an iAUDIO? The answer for me is a yes: I sold 4 iAUDIO4s to my friends.
But otherwise all I see all day is these cheap ass Flash Players and iPods. It's quite depressing really ...
Tell us your iAUDIO stories :)

someone I know has a CW300
Not really surprising for a product that you can't buy easily.
Do you know a shop (not online) in Germany where one can buy M3's for example? That's the "depressing" part, a good product and nobody sells it.

yeah, quite right
My best friend has an I4 too :D We bought it together, when it was introduced in the Netherlands.
Two mates at school also have an I4 and I saw someone in the train with an M3, but he only showed me the remote :(
My wife has a CW300, does that count?
I have never seen anyone with an iAudio :(
Well, I have never seen anyone with a mp3player that's worth looking at really...

I've not seen anyone with an iAudio, only seen it online and in a shop on Tottenham Court Road-which was selling it at an extortionate price, but thats Tottenham Court Road for you ;)
I once seen a person with an old Creative zen, other than that everyone else has an iPod or a generic flash player.
I go to the biggest college in Dublin and everyone has their iPod headphones on. :(

In Los Angeles, where image counts, you'll see nothing but white iPods, and the occasional Mini iPod. You'll even get dirty you're-low-class looks if you're caught walking around my school campus with a CD player. Just wait until I bust out my new M3. Or M5. I don't know which to get yet.

When I had one (briefly) I saw an iRiver 130/140 remote while commuting, and see many flash remotes, but no M3 yet.
My best friend is looking at the M3/M5 - he'll be converted soon ;)
And I got mine in Tottenham Ct Road, same price as Amazon/advancedmp3players.co.uk - you just have to keep looking :)

I've never seen anyone with an iAUDIO player before. I only first heard about iAUDIO a few weeks before I got my M3 for my birthday. JNC and iAUDIO awareness/marketing is pretty low (in Australia at least)
It is somewhat depressing seeing all these white iPod earbuds everywhere. I've never seen anyone with a mini though, and most people who don't have the white iPod earbuds have their players tucked away in their pockets or backpacks while they walk around like deaf zombies.

I don't know if you have them in your region, but the electronic warehouse chain Makro Markt (the ones with the dumb Dieter Bohlen spots in TV) sell them. At least I saw several iAudio4 and M3 in two or three shops of them in Berlin.
We got 2 Makro Markts in my city but no products from iAudio. :(
I talked someone at the store who was doubting between an iPod and a M3 into buying the M3. Of course I let him have a test listen on my device and he fell in love immediately! ;)
So yeah, I met one! :)

I haven't met anyone with an iAudio yet here in Hamburg/Germany...and honestly I don't want everyone in my town to have one (although I wouldn't begrudge Cowon the well deserved success)...but wouldn't you feel a little bit the same about the iAudio M3 like you feel now about the ipod when everyone would have one...ok, the M3 is better and looks more sophisticated...but people as a majority don't seem to like quality, just look at the music charts or at the TV program :-))

it's about one year ago i even noticed there's makromarkt (i was in stuttgart, and walked into the one near the main station) they only sell the iaudio4 in the mediamarkts i know, and won't get the m3 because there's not enough demand: either iriver or ipod :-(
on the other hand, i know hardly any people who even got a flash player, let alone a hdd. but i'm sure i'll see some at the trier university, even if its the clinical white of ipod earbuds

I saw a guy -- in his late teens -- with an iaudio4 on the subway. I know it's an iaudio4 because of the color screen. I usually see ipod users on the subways but let's try and change that eh? :P
but wouldn't you feel a little bit the same about the iAudio M3 like you feel now about the ipod when everyone would have one.
Actually, i'd feel better if many people use M3's.
More customers means more accessories from other companies, probably a better service network, a larger number of people working on improvements, like the replacement battery you can get for iRiver H100 series now. I still wonder what will happen in case my M3 ever needs a repair.
I bought the M3 (after checking out iRiver H140 and H340) to have a decent device for music playback. If another company comes out with a better technology i'd buy their product if the M3 is no longer sufficient for me.

i go to one of the largest universities here in the states, so it is apple country here. apple desktops, apple laptops, etc... so naturally i mostly see ipods or ipod minis when it comes to daps. every once in a while i see a person w/ a creative zen (which, as i've stated before, i love), and when i do, i smile and think, "you rock." :D
but i've never, ever seen anyone w/ an iaudio, flash or hard drive. i'm all by my lonesome.

yeah.. hehe, most ppl here still run on cd players..
i have no idea how they can stand carrying that huge thing with an even bigger cd case...
me n my friend were md addicts before i decided that 175mb per disc was not enough.....
few ppl(including my friend) still use md... which is probly better than flash or cdplayers...
i see a few ppl with ipods, and a few ppl with iriver or rio flash players...
90% of the time I see iPods, the other 5% I see iRivers, and the other 5% is everything else. But no iAudio yet.

I'm pretty sure I'm one of the first ppl on the face of the Earth to have spotted a Lavod-o-phile. That's right... Lavod. What are the odds of not finding iAudiophiles while finding Lavod-owners, right? Big enough, so it seems :|
Well, according to an article on dapreview, Apple has a 92.1% share of the hard drive audio player industry. I guess it makes sense that everyone here sees iPods.
i have never meeted one in the world.
mine engrish is not so gut.
I've never met anyone with a iAudio. They don't even know what that is.
My friends have mostly iPods or iRivers :(
