I know the Q5 will only view pics as big as 2560x1920. Does anyone know what file size the A3 will view up to? I have a Canon Rebel XTI that is a 10mp and so far its looking like the Q5 won't be able to view my pics from the camera. [sad]

The A3 is going to use a modified linux. Do they make their own application for viewing images or some open source application? Does the Q5 run linux?

We have no idea about any of the specs on the A3 because we don't even know if it is going to be made. Until Cowon releases the specs, we can only guess. Browse the forum section on the A3. You can find out all the info we know there.

Kanji, explore the forums... the Q5 runs WinCE 5.0
We believe the A3 will still be running linux, but it's anyone's guess at this point. In the past, Cowon has chosen to write their own apps... but that's mainly because it requires a special app (usually) to run in the limited space of an embedded device, especially when the CPU isn't all too powerful.

The D2 takes a few more seconds to process them, but it shows my camera's 3008x2000 JPEGs without a problem.

The Q5 won't be able to process such files for aspect-ratio-correct viewing on its display?

Both subforums have threads discussing their specs...I'd suggest looking there.
