Hello Everyone!

I recently discovered the Cowon product line and now realize that they have the best PMP's on the market. As a result i can't wait to buy my COWON Q5 even though i'm Canadian.

I am new to the PMP market and have some questions regarding Cowon products.
I use from time to time my girlfriends Ipod and I absolutely hate it. It's such a dumbed down technology. The user has NO CONTROL over anything! As far as i'm concerned it belongs in the toy store.

My questions with the Cowon Q5 and Cowon products are:
1. Can i arange my files the way I want them like I can with Windows XP and name them too. Do I have to do this on my computer using a program or can i do it from the pmp itself? ( I believe there's a special techie term for this).

2. Can I share my files on the cowon? Can i transfer them to any computer i want or other Cowon?

3. Can I transfer files to my cowon from any computer without requiring any special software.

I'm assuming many can answer my questions based on other Cowon products they use.

Thanks,
artichoke

G'day, I'll try and asnwer what I can:

I think the answer is yes. You can name everything direct in Win XP and it'll be recognised. I know for the D2 you have to do all this on your PC, but it might be different on the Q5 with a beefed up OS
Yes. When you plug a Cowon product into your PC, it comes up as a removable hard disk. Drivers (in Win XP) are detected automatically, so you can use any computer you like.
Yes.

Anyone else, please add to my answers and correct me if I'm wrong.

Hope it helps

Considering that the Q5 hasn't even been released yet, it should be noted that any answers you receive are somewhat speculative based on Cowon's previous releases.
