proper switching off?

i switched off my D2 via the sliding switch on top of the player, but when i clean my screen, it came back on...how come? touching the screen will on the D2? if so, after switching off must hold it to prevent accidentally switching it on?

You did'nt switch off, you only darkened the display! To really switch the D2 off hold the button for some seconds and watch the display telling you: good bye... [biggrin]

Slide the switch to the left and hold it until you see Goodbye.

Then it is Off and not just Sleeping.

Then Lock it...All the way to the Right...You will see a Red dot.

aha...i see...silly me..i set it to turn off after 3 minutes of inactivity, dats y although i've been sleeping it all dis while, my batt didnt go flat haha... thanks for the replies!
