Just an FYI,

Misticaudio just posted a new D2 case for $17.95 US. The description sounds very good, no picture yet.

I've been waiting for this one to come out. It'll be interesting to compare to the Jetmall leather case. Access to the SD card is a plus.

as you said the description sounds good the sd card storage is a huge plus for me anyway. However for a case it ultimately matters what it looks like.

I've got mixed thoughts about the SD slot being accessable from outside the case. First, if the card gets "bumped" and pops out it could get lost. I have an 8gb Patriot SDHC card on the way and I'd hate to lose it.

Next, I wonder about the slot getting dirt inside.

Just a few thoughts, I'm "on the fence" when it comes to this feature. [unsure]

I agree with LuvMusic- I think I;d rather have the SD slot covered, which is why I'm leaning to the Cowon case.

Well, this is what I'm planning on doing, and I'm pretty sure it'll work well:

- Cut a small piece of overhead transparency (the stiffer kind) slightly larger than the size of the SD cover in the case
- Glue it to the bottom of the Misticaudio case (from the inside) where the SD slot is (using a touch of glue).

Once this is left to dry for a few minutes, you will still be able to see the slot, but there's no longer the danger of the card popping out. Of course, you won't be able to access the slot either without removing the player from the case, but it should be worth it.

I've got the Cowon case and so far I'm pleased with it. The only thing I don't like about the case is the cover flap opens horizontally like a book rather than vertically. If it opened vertically, you could flip the flap back behind the unit and it could double as a stand.
