Is it possible to get a random assortment of music to sync with your mp3 player through Cowon Media Centre (CMC)? -like the "shuffle" list on Windows Media Player...

I like Cowon Media Player -not THAT much (looks ugly and fat), but it beats iTunes (not on the interface or ease of use, but since iTunes is only compatible for iPod [SNOBS!] and CMC plays ANYTHING- a monster media player).

It also beats Windows Media Player 11 in my opinion (again, not on the interface or the ease of use, but because you have TOTAL CONTROL when syncing on CMC -on WMP all the music are transferred to the ROOT menu only of your mp3 player only).

At the moment, i'm considering using CMC or WMP. WMP can produce a random list of songs from your library which you can sync; a HUGE PLUS. You can't do this on CMC... or can you? If CMC CAN do this, CMC's fo' me.

nevermind i've found MediaMonkey, that funky junkie.

So basically this is what it does; what I needed: You can CHOOSE where your music synches to (mine in the \MUSIC directory). You can make the player synch random songs on it.

There's also another function: You can set it to synch music so that the files are in a specific bitrate and/or extension, e.g. 96kbps wma7. This is VERY HANDY when you've large files which would take up alot of space; put it to a minimum size with a decent sound, and use up your space, economicallay, hey hey. (i went up from a maximum of ~100 songs to ~165 :D -yeah, mine's only 512mbs)

Hope that helped anyone.

I'd actually considered mentioning MediaMonkey (I've been using it for at least a year now) but I wasn't sure from your OP whether you were open to an alternative program.

Glad you found it on your own!
