[Please remember that this is not officially confirmed and I will not be responsible for any false in the future.]
According to a very trusted source (www.pmpinside.com, Korea's number 1 PMP community) in Korea,
US/EU models will have wifi AND bluetooth BUILT-IN,
with the removal of DMB and 15% cheaper price tag (that is the current 499USD for 4GB and 549USD).
Koreans will have to pay 550USD for 40GB model and 600USD for 60GB model and 670USD/760USD for the GPS models respectively.
Now Koreans are thinking about importing from US/EU...[laugh]
The Q5 is expected to be a failure in Korea though, with much more attactive competitions...
Why is the Q5 expected to be a total failure in Korea and disappoint royal Cowon fans who trusted this company so much before?
Here are the major complains from crying out Koreans from PMPinside:
Way too, way toooooo, overally expensive price. Probably only the very richest people in Korea will be ever going to afford this price.
Even UMPCs and UPPCs are cheaper. Products like VEGA, running full Windows XP and being smaller than the Q5 are available in Korea for 420USD now.
Way too, way toooooo late. Almost everyone has bought something else in the meantime and it is still a disappointment.
Hopes and 'imaginative' dreams due to Cowon's advertisement and speculation ("Premium PMP") collapsed.
External Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and HSPDA.
Useless Britannica Encyclopedia - money could be spent elsewhere.
The reason for this excessively expensive price is due to manufacturing problems in Cowon's factories, added tax inside Korea and a very limited supply. Prices will be eventually forced to drop when Digital Cube releases the ultimate killer PMP/UPPC - The G43, apparently going to be the smallest computer ever made in mankinds' hisotory, they claim. (Even smaller, more poweful, cheaper than the VEGA).
And of course, the following competition offer superior features/cheaper prices and are the hottest alternatives sold in Korea at the moment:
Raon Digital's VEGA Ultra Portable PC.
Maxian's D900. (Davinchi Chip, 800x480 LCD)
Digital Cube's iStation G43 NetForce.
