View Full Version : Linux will not allow me to write to F2

I am a Linux user and have been successfully transferring files to the F2 for about two months now.

However, since this evening, I get the following message when I try to copy new music to the F2 - "You do not have permissions to write to this folder".

I don't recall anything unusual happening the last time I had it connected to a PC.

ls -l /path/to/F2/MUSIC

Report here the output.

It's actually working perfect now.

I have no idea what happened last night.

Thanks for your reply TiroFisso.

Maybe this file... remove or rename it.

yeah.

this file is corrupted - i have tried to remove it with linux and windows and no joy.
I reckon I'll have to format the beast.

Hi, I seem to have this exact same issue: an undeleteable, corrupted file on my iAudio F2 that prevents me from transferring files to it.

What is the remedy? The dude that posted before me said he had to format it. I don't know how to do that.

Some chap on the ubuntu forums was kind enough to help me out.
