Card doesnt actually GO into d2

My D2 works fine and everything, but whenever I try to fit a sd card in it, it doesnt seem like it fits right. The gray plastic one that comes inside the d2 (to protect it) fits fine and clicks in and out, but when i put in a sd card, i have to put force into it to push it all the way in, and it really doesn't make a click noise. it also doesn't recognize the sd card. anyone else have this?

i have firmware 2.41

Dumb answer maybe, do you insert it the right way?, the silver bits have to be on top so this means you insert the card backwards if that makes sense.
