Recording off my NTL box

Hi, I've had this problem for a while, i seem completely unable to record off anything. I got a female to female scart adapter for my PS2 to connect to my A2 and nothing came up so i thought it might not work like that. SO i waited until we got a NTL box to see if I can record off that. I connected the scart lead to the auxillary port and to my A2 then went into recording and there was a blank scree, (I had the OSD and everything but no TV pic) so i plugged it into the main port and again no inage, this was the same as what happened with the PS2
All other functions work on my A2

I'm not sure what you're doing wrong (mostly because I'm a bit too tired to read your post carefully at the moment) but I think the fact you've got "scart" written there in several different places could hint you're hooking it up incorrectly - first because scart (21 pin) connectors are often directional and not always in the direction you'd think (meaning you can use them to output video but not input video or vice versa) and second because you mention scart to scart and since the cable provided with the A2 is PL -> Componenet I'm not sure how a scart connector would fit in.
Try hooking up the A2 to anything (any DVD player would work) with the supplied cable just to test it. Don't use any other cables or connectors. If that works let us know and maybe we can offer a different hookup for whatever it is you're trying to do.

Well the Scart adapter for the PS2 is only one way, don’t get me wrong the scart adapters do work, I’ve used mine many times to record of the Sky box, but you have to get one with the little toggle switch In-Out on it,
