View Full Version : transfer files from sd card to d2?
Hi, i just recently recieved my D2 and i'm loving it [thumbsup] . But i was just wondering if it was possible to transfer files from the sd card to the d2 directly[confused] ? I was just wondering if there was any way to do that without connecting to the pc.
Yes, via PC [yes] Because in Win XP the player appears as two removable discs - internal and external memory...

Sadly, no. It's a feature many of us are hoping will appear in a future firmware update... so until then, you need to transfer the files between the SD card and the D2 using a PC, like Agca mentions [wink]
I haven't got my D2 yet, but I'd very much like to have the feature to transfer files without the need of a PC. For instance, to use the D2 as temporary storage for photos.
not possible (at least yet...)
i think that cowon won't make it possible because people would copy their music to and from others. and that would be illegal. at least that what i think

But there's already 50 different ways to do that, starting with the simple line in/out jack lead. 8>.
A more subtle problem is whether the D2 actually has enough circuitry in there to read AND write simultaneously, at high speed.
And for example, here in Spain the laws allow me to copy files without permission if i don't earn money, so i want this utility.

I don't think that this is the reason... they've just some problems to realise this!
With iAudio X5 you have a USB Host what allows you to copy music files from every Player [biggrin] , with the D2 and the SD card slot you can only copy files from SD cards!
