force id3 database rebuild?

hi

is there any way to force a FULL rebuild of the id3 database? maybe a file or folder to delete?
sometimes i change some tags on the device with mp3tag but i don't see the changes. or the changes are inconsistent like double entries. to rebuild the database, i have to move all the 4 gigs of music to my computer, delete them from the d2, restart the d2 and finally copy them back on it. if this way would take 1 to 5 minutes, o.k., but...

Try changing the language of your player. Everytime I change it, my load up time goes from 3 seconds to about 1 minute.
