I'm sure I'm being stupid here, but what are my options for buying a crystal case for my D2? I had a silicon case for my X5 and really didn't like it, and then I switched to a noreve case which made it bulkier than I liked, so I'm fairly sure that a decent quality crystal case is what I'm after. Where can I find them for the D2? (I'm in the UK)
have you tried advancedmp3 ?
another option is something like invisibleshield, that certainly doesn`t add bulk...

I have the crystal case and it literally adds nothign to the bulk of the D2...I think it even makes it look cooler but that's just me.

Thanks! Don't know why I didn't look there in my searches, as that's where I bought my D2!

I'm lovin' the crystal skin, especially now that I've added a skin. [biggrin]

Hi!
I'm thinking of having my D2 in a crystal case insteda of a leather case.
Now I'm assuming that the case is closed by some sort of plastic"pin" arrangement. Would those pins be likely to be broken upon repeated opening/closing of the case?
Also, I was thinking of gluing a belt clip to the crystal case and suing it for jogging, but I could see it being a bad idea if there is any chance of the case falling into two pieces from all the shaking.
Can anyone comment on the build of the crystal case in these respects?

The crystal case is held together with little clips, 2 on the top and bottom and 1 on one of the sides. Whenever I take it apart I feel like I'm going to break it, and I've taken it apart twice already and nothing has yet to break. It is kind of a pain in the ass to take apart though, and it fits so snug onto the player that I don't plan on taking it off anytime soon. If you're really worried about it falling off while you're jogging, just superglue it together and if you need to take it apart just apply some acetone to the superglue and it'll take it off no problem.

I have actually taken my crystal case apart maybe 30 - 40 times and there is no chance of it breaking, there is a bit of a technique to taking it off though. I start with the clip on the top left of the player, looking down on the clip, with your right thumb on the back section of the case where the clip joins, push hard, with my left index finger I pull the left section of the case up in the earphone socket hole of the crystal case, if done correctly, the clip will pop apart effortlessly.
Use a similar technique for the top right clip on the case, ie: push back section of case down, front section of case up where the clip joins and it will pop apart again.
Once the two top clips are separated the bottom will easily come unclipped.
Maybe try this on a bed or somewhere safe because I nearly dropped my D2 first time I did this and wouldn't want to be responsible for any D2 fatalities. This works for my case which I got from advancedmp3, don't know if any other crystal cases are different.

Thanks for the replies. I'm still not sure I want one of those cases. I like my electronics relatively "bare" - having a case on at all times would annoy me, and even if it's durable, the crystal case is probably not the best choice for constantly being removed/replaced.
I'm getting a screen protector and metal sticker, and I think I'll make myself an altoids tin case - I've got a dremel tool, some felt and packing foam lying around. Shame altoids are a bloody rip off in the UK (import only). Should be enough to keep the D2 nice and scratch-free.
