We waited far too long for the last one (since Cowon promised parts of it's content even pre release!), just to discover it doesn't work properly!

Has anybody heard anything about WHEN we might see it. If you don't know: what would one expect? The bugs drive med crazy, but I need SDHC. I feel trapped! But I trust them to fix the bugs in the next firmware.

Sorry if this information is hidden somewhere in the threads, I couldn'f find it, however.

i think that cowon is the best mp3 company who makes firmware fastest, for exaċle iriver, they are sloooooow.

Isn't it better that they get the problems sorted properly this time? Also if they keep releasing firmwares I'm sure less 'enthusiastic' users will be put off.

I'd say less enthusiastic users would be none the wiser...probably....unless they visit forums like these.

with all due respect... your statment doesn`t make much sense.

firmwares are improvements, enhacements or bug-fixes so the HAVE to keep coming. In fact, the more firmware releases the better.

Users who are less enthusiastic or just plain happy enough with the product as it is when they buy it are in no way forced to upgrade their firmwares. Actually they won`t even know when a new firmware is released.

I will put my hand up now and say im 99% happy with my d2, it works as I expected and I didnt expect sdhc support when I bought it so this was a bonus, any additional firmware are also bonuses.
The 1% is the id database building per Dominic below (forgot about that)

i'm not entirely happy, I hate the one off boot time after connecting to my compy...its truly aggravating, damn that id3 databasing.

I had a Sony before this one. There was one (1) firmware update in two years.
I checked the forums and read all the enthusiastic posts about upcoming firmware. But it never came. Since I bought the D2 there has been two (2) updates in three months.

I thought there might be people here with more experince from cowon products than me. I didn't meen to offend you, sorry if I did.

Now, I'm going to shut my computer off and get a life.
