As an A2 owner

Hello all:
My first post.

I own a few PMPs:
Archos 704 and 504
Cowon A2
Ipod 3rd Gen 60GB
Coby PMP
Tavi 20Gb PMP

As a Linux person I really like the Cowon A2 best so far.
However I am concerned with Cowon's decision to use WinCE on the Q5. Microsoft is moving towards closed BIOS and DRM'd video and audio. How does this bode for the future of my Ogg files in the future? Will the Q5 move towards closed and DRM's file types? I really hope not as this is keeping me from considering the Q5 in my collection.

You won't get an Cowon answer here on these forums... it's strictly community.

Lots of the Korean players are now moving to WinCE... not sure why. I can suspect that Microsoft has made a huge deal... much like yesterdays $3 annoucement with regards to the cost of Microsoft software. Korea, China, etc. were very Linux friendly up until about a year ago or so.
I'm with you. I won't intentionally buy a WinCE player..... it's just so wrong.
