Long audio tracks

Most of the music I listen to are DJ mixes. They can range anywhere from 30 minutes to 5 hours.
The majority of the mixes on my D2 are 2 hour long 192kbps cbr mp3s. Many of these 2 hour tracks work fine. Some, however, will only play until around the halfway point, then stop, and continue with the next track. You can't select any point of the track beyond the halfway mark to skip to, it'll just skip to the next track instead.

Needless to say, my 5 hour long mix does not work. [thumbdwn]

Anyone have any ideas or have this same problem? [help]

I assume that you have tested the track which does not work properly on your computer or perhaps another mp3 player? If so, this is probabaly a firmware issue. submit a ticket to CowonGlobal and let them know about it.

Those are some really long tracks... How do they get released on CD's or do they not?

I have exactly the same problem (firmwares: 2.51, 3.53, 3.54). Some long (1h) mp3 files are played without an error, but I already found mp3 file (also 1h) which is played only partially -- in the middle D2 skips to the next track. Same place everytime. It is possible to listen to the rest of the file by jumping over the error point.

I finally managed to register and here is my bug report:

Could you point out specific track? It would be a good test-case, but searching through all the download area is time consuming ;-)

strange. in a previous thread, I played 90-minute episodes of keith and the girl without any issues (though honestly I can't find the comedy in the show, so went back to my beloved demetri martin).

But yeah, specific tracks. We'll all test them out, and see what happens :-)
