on the right hand side of the player theres a small reset button, have you tried using that?

What OS are you using?

-Windows Xp
-Windows 98SE
-Windows 2000 Professional

What USB does your Motherboard support? 1.1 or 2.0

Tried a different USB cable?

What happens when you try to power on the F2? Does a display come up indicating a LOW BATTERY Display?

Has your F2 ever been dropped or do you know if it's been around any High temps. by any chance?

Have you also tried different USB ports on your motherboard?

i tried another port on my mothercard what must i do now?So your saying it didn't work? Hmm... does your computer recognize the player? If so then try formating it.

-Open Jetshell
-File
-Format Device Memory
-File System FAT32
-Quick or full format (Doesn't matter but I recommend Quick)

If that doesn't work then I'm out of options [sad]

Hi,

I've had the exact same problem w/ an iAudio F2 bought from B&H, it kept on telling me that the battery was empty eventhough it wouldn't charge anymore as it saw the battery fully charged when charging...

I had to go to cowonamerica.com and web chat w/ a representative, and send it back through the mailbox after having obtained the RMA. I don't know for turkey though...

I bought my player (f. 1.11) last week.
Yesterday I wanted to charge the player for the second time but something is wrong.
When I start the player (without USB-connection) the display shows " Low Battery " and the player turns off. Connected with USB ( computer, ac adapter ) I receive " Battery Full ".
The computer does recognize the player, I formated the player and tried different player-menu settings but it has still this strange behavior.

Can the installation of new firmware solve this problem ?
I tried to install new firmware ( 1.11; 1.12; 1.13; 1.14), but my computer (Win 98) wasn't able to start the firmware. And now I ask myself if the firmware is able to solve the problem (and should I try to use the computer of a friend ) or will this cause perhaps further problems with the warrenty.

the current F/W 1.14 has issues in performance and adds really nothing in use. on the friends computer try to charge it(by trying different USB ports).

How did you switch to charge mode? Did you try to press "Safe remove hardware" button in your toolbar?

Thanks for your help and answers.
I guess the player was damaged, because I tried everything but it didn't solve this problem.
Since 4 weeks I have a new F2 and I charged it several times with no problems.

To be sure I also bought the original cowon ac adapter which vary a little from my Motorola adapter ( Cowon 5V 1,2A ; Motorola 5V 550mA ). But I don't think that this caused the damage.

It`s only one problem left.
I replaced the cowon earphones with the Sennheiser PX200 and the Beyerdynamic DTX50.
It's always difficult to decide which one I should use. [wink] [laugh] [laugh]

@Vitecs
Win98 hasn't the "Safe remove hardware" button. It switches automatically from usb-mode to charging-mode by starting or closing ( or when the *§&% Win98 can't recognize the player [wink] [biggrin] ) the session. The old player showed at this time " Battery Full ".
