No case shipping with D2 in the box??

Is it true that D2 cames with no case whatsoever in the retail box??
I just received my D2 today and thought there was missing a case or something in my box?[confused]

I don't personally feel the need for one though. A screen protector is really all that is needed.

Even just a cheap faux-leather bag would have sufficed in my opinion. It wouldn't have cost them that much more. As the industry has become pretty competitive it’s probably the first thing that goes to cut costs. I got a faux-leather bag with my Creative Nomad II years ago, and use it occasionally with my D2 when out jogging. It works fine!

yes, I too was amazed that their was no plastic case with the d2. I liked the one with the g3 very very much. But I guess cowon wants a new imago and decided that the plastic cases look too cheap

You can buy a cheap camera bag that works beautifully for nothing nowadays. I do think that it is better for cowon to refrain from giving away 'chinese quality' stuff and concentrate on what really matters: the player. See, I would more impressed if they shipped good earbuds like the Senheiser CX300 aka the sharp MD33S.

At the very least, I would want Jetmall to offer a 'Pick-your-package' kind of thing. You know, you order a D2, add the cables you want, toss in the case, maybe a screen protector, and then you get it all delivered to your door.

What's the deal with selling the D2, but not having the accessories in stock? Now I'm not blaming Cowon US, I think Cowon Korea is totally hoarding all the accessories for their Korean customers.

I was surprised to see an adapter too!

But, if Cowon had to choose between throwing in a case (like the D2 shield) or an adapter, I'd take the case. [smile]
