Thought I'd give a heads up to those still in the market for the crystal case and/or metal stickers. misticauduio has both in stock.[cool]

Crystal cases are gone [sad] and I got an email saying they don't know if or when they'll be back. I just got my D2 and I LOVE it, but what's up with it being so hard to find a case? I don't want to plunk down 100 bucks to get something shipped from Europe.

I'm amazed at how quickly accessories go out of stock. And aside from the members of this site, I've yet to see anyone else with this player!

well, we had only 6 ppl for the last batch.
I want to see more people.

or do I have to get 30~50 cases and sell them? ... I don't know.
I might end up with 20 cases sitting next to me. lol

That's nice of you, and I'd definitely be on board if you decide to pull the trigger. I'm just surprised that it's so hard to find accessories for such a great player. I'm developing the impression that Cowon is better on the tech side than in marketing. Who doesn't want a case for their D2? Selling a case seems like a no-brainer for Cowon. Maybe some company will realize there is an untapped niche here and pick up the slack.

That last order was 40 pieces and they sold out quickly... i've just ordered an additional 50 pieces so will hopefully have them late this coming week, early next week.

Yeah, I don't know what the deal is with Cowon. Their older players came with everything! The player, all the cables, a case, the software...

Now you get no-frills basics when you buy a Cowon player, and you have to struggle to get accessories! If it wasn't for Jeff and McRamen, we'd all be crying for protective gear. It's been awhile since the D2 has been available and Cowon America has never gotten the clear case in stock, let alone a screen protector. These 2 items should be part of the original package, as far as I'm concerned.

Hello,

Is there any area of the player that is not usable with the clear case attached? such as the usb panel or maybe the mic blocked? Is it difficult at all to power it on? does the player move around at all in the case? And is the site safe in your experiences? I am interested in purchasing this item or the full body shield from invisible shield. Thank you for any information, take care.

The player fits snug in the case, doesn't shift at all, and you still have access to everything.

Oh awesome. Then I am definitely interested. Stocked expected this week or early next i'm assuming correctly? Are there sites you find more reliable then others? Now I can just get an invisible shield for the screen, much better and less hassle. Thank you for the info and anything else is greatly appreciated. Take care

I didn't realize it was so snug. After I put my D2 in it I thought I would break it when I tried to pry it open.

Yeah I'm pretty reluctant to take the crystal case off, I can definitely see myself snapping a bevel or the case just wearing loose because of repeated removals.

I just got my invisible shield and am waiting for stock on the clear case. I keep checking all day :-p. I was gonna get the full body but i would like the bezel to be protected. If any further info is known on the stock please let me know. Oh and the shield goes on real nice and smooth. I would line the shield up by the bottom of the screen. I did it by the left side and got a line gap that was distracting on the right side. Take care

Are these cases made especially for the D2? I talked to some people from Cowon and they said the cases being sold are made for anoher mp3 player and aren't made for the D2... could he just be talking about the "official" cowon case?

unless cowon ripped off the design for the d2 from another mp3 player, i'd say the cases are made for the d2

Although this thread has ranged afield a bit, I thought I'd let everybody know that Crystal Cases are indeed in stock, again.[thumbsup] On a side note, shipping from mistic audio is pretty steep. [thumbdwn]

actually FedEx and UPS are both the same... we moved away from USPS domestically for the simple reason that shipments were getting lost and we had many claims of non-receipt of goods which is hard to claim against without tracking information.

FedEx gives us the tracking information we need to ensure shipments arrive to their location and is only approx. $2.50 more per order than Priority Mail.

I paid $6.12 Fedex Home to NY. Are they located in Canada? maybe thats why

::edit:: My experience of fedex being more is on sites like www.newegg.com and www.bhphotovideo. Newegg used to have fedex cheaper now ups is. Maybe they cut deals with those retailers, but just my experience with them.

No, we are located in sunny Las Vegas, NV...

Just as a side note.. the T2 Crystal Case at Jetmall.net shows up with a UPS shipping charge of $8.50 so i'd say we're definitely cheaper than Jetmall.net for shipping.

Just saying, no disrespect or anything, just my experience is all. I figured Canada considering he paid only 2.50. I figure there are charges across the border then and I'm shocked his was so cheap. No big deal I paid it already so I was willing to part with the money for the product. Hope to see it soon and enjoy it :-)

None taken... the shipment to Canada was via USPS Air Letter Post. A much better alternative than FedEx, UPS or Express Mail for our Canadian friends as it usually avoids customs fees and is very reasonably priced.

I'm definitely not complaining - I'm sure it beats shipping from Korea [wink]; it was just a little more than I was expecting to pay for such a small and light item. It might be nice to have some cheaper options for those of us who aren't as concerned with the speed of shipping. Just a suggestion.

Thanks very much for restocking the D2 case. I'm really looking forward to not worrying about scratching my D2...or at least not worrying as much.[unsure]

Again, it doesn't really come down to speed so much as the ability to track the item in transit.
