My crystal case arrived today, i want too know how too make external skins.
Is it any program?
Do you know any website who shares skins?

you get the psd template file and action command file
and then do work in photoshop.

while you open those two files, open your image (desirable)
and then perform action one by one.
After the all the action finished, you can find generated image in
C: (root directory)

I will attach the needed files.

Or you can simply download skin image made by someone else and print them.

mcramen, what kind of paper did you use for the skin? Looking at the back view of the player it looks like some kind of adhesive paper.

I just used regular copy paper.
I tried with the DVD label paper before, but that was too thick to close the case.
Best paper, IMHO, is photo paper or inkjet paper with glossy side, and it must be thin.

I came across a website called skinit. (http://www.skinit.com/.) They customize many products (no Cowon products, though. But, I submitted a request!). Anyway, the paper that they use for skins is "3M ™ Comply ™ Adhesive technology for easy application and fast, clean removal with little or no adhesive residue."

It would be cool if this paper is available in 8.5" X 11" sheets! [biggrin]

I guess the glossy paper used in magazines would be nice too! One could scan the picture for the wallpaper, and use the actual glossy paper for the skin. I guess.

Yeah, I was wondering how one cuts it for a perfect fit.

Sorry to bump this thread, but I need a little help with this. Downloaded the files mcramen posted, did the action commands and all on Photoshop, but the images it's generating and printing is too big!

I only want to make a printout of the front faceplate and the image it generated is 448 x 345 pixels -- is that the right dimensions? If it isn't can someone tell me what it should be please?

Thanks!

All sorted out. Actually my problem was that I've got PhotoShop on my Mac and I normally send the files to my PC downstairs (which doesn't have PS or any imaging software) because that's where my printer is hooked upto.

Still, the solution was just as easy -- I downloaded the printer driver for my Mac and hooked it up to the printer -- and I feel just as stupid. [wacko]

Move along now.
