I have a different folder for each album. I set the boundary to folder yet it still seems to play other songs outside the folder(album). What the hell?

Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong or whats up?

Are you selecting a track within the folder you want to play before setting the boundary?

I tried both

Just tried it for you. I have FW 2.41. It works for me. Boundary: Folder, Shuffle: Yes and No, Repeat: Yes and No, it all works, it stays in the same folder. Which FW are you using?

2.41 final.. hmm

Are you picking the file through folder navigation?

2.41 final.. hmm

Are you picking the file through folder navigation?I'm not sure what you mean. What I did was: select a file to play, then press next about 20 times, it stays in the same folder, no matter what settings. Then I went to a different folder and did the same. It also stayed in the same folder.

When you select the initial file, do you select it through the music library (artist/album/genre) or through the folder navigation

Folder navigation. I only use the filetree method, I don't like id3 browsing.

It works for me when I navigate to the specific folder from music list -> folders->folder i want. I have noticed that it messes up once in a while and changes folder and stays on the new folder it selected.

Boundaries also work for me, and go between 'all' and 'folder' just about every day - sometimes I set it through 'Settings' on the main menu, but other times I set it while playing a song, through the 'Settings' button on the bottom of the screen.

I use folder navigation, and I only have .flac and .mp3 files - all stored on the D2, not an external card. I'm on 3.41 firmware, but had 2.41 and it worked fine.

Good luck, Kaitlyn! [smile]
