So I've seen all the nice advertised pictures of them stickers, but I have yet to see a real D2 with the sticker on it.....I'd really like to see how awesome it actually looks like in real life, so whoever has one already and has it stuck on, could you please post some pics of them?

On another note, mistic audio is getting some stock in this week I believe, they had pre-orders up for them already...I really wanted to get one but at $24US it seems a little pricey, unless those stickers act as a good protective barrier for the D2 as well.....thoughts/experience anyone? :P

I ran the batch thread for the metal sticker.
I made purchase in Korea, and the agent in Korea will ship out when he get them.
So I will be the first one to have from that batch, but I'm planning to put it right away. (will put in the future)
But I can provide you pictures by just putting on the stickers, not attach it.
And there are 8 other people will get sticker from that batch, so you will see some pictures form them as well.

and I think $24 in the misticaudio is somewhat reasonable, even I still can beat that price easily.

Yeah but you're only willing to ship to the states, whereas mistic audio ships worldwide, and for a reasonable shipping cost too.

In addition, 24 may be a reasonable market price but it's still not a reasonable price in general, IMHO, unless it acts as a good protector as well....

You can get the 'flowery' ones in the Netherlands at mp3spelers.nl for about €10.

There is no reason to ship it worldwide from me.
If I do that, you pay for 2 worldwide shipping fees, from Korean to States, and from States to other nations.
You should get it from Korea direct to save money.
and it's little over $15 in Korea, the shipping at least $15 for EMS if you just buy one.
But I and misticaudio are doing massive shipping to save more.
You gotta understand the price since it's not manufacturing in here.
It's import goods here, until the cowon get it cheaper (but I doubt it, since AV cable is double price of Korean price)

Just wondering, if you put the metal sticker on, would it be possible to have the plastic case on at the same time?

yes, you can put the player in the plastic case even after you put metal sticker.
See my thread in classified section.

Hi,

I fixed my photo links so now you can see how a gold metal sticker looks on a white player. Go here:

So why did you even bother mentioning price with regards to my post? If you had looked it clearly says that I'm from Canada, so there's no reason for you to go all out saying how they're alright but you're better :P.

Anyways Jeff:
How durable do the stickers feel? I don't mean for you to go and scratch your sticker but would they stand the regular wear endured by everyday use or would you feel safer having it in a pouch/case of some sort?

I'll do my best...

I never keep my players in my pocket. I either wear them around my neck or in a case on my belt. This prevents them being crushed, etc..

The metal stickers I would classify more as a decoration or "bling" than protection. The good news is that they are very thin so will work with the Crystal Case or a Leather case.

The only issue I see with the stickers are the corners. I see potential for catching a corner on something (fabric, material, etc.) and peeling back the sticker. In all fairness however, the sticker is stuck on VERY well.
As far as scratching the sticker, I suppose you can but it would be somewhat difficult given the texture and composition of it.

Two questions here, Jeff... is it a regular sticky adhesive, like a regular sticker? Or is it some sort of cool "no adhesive" kind of sticker?

And, how hard is it to align the stickers while putting them on? I'm worried that it'll stick on wrong and I'll have to pull it off a couple times and then the sticker ends up a little damaged.

Although that isn't going to stop me from putting one on my D2, I just wanted to know how your experience was [smile]

It's like a regular sticker. The nice thing is that on the back of the D2 are 4 little "feet" for lack of a better term. One in each corner. The stickers have corresponding holes in each corner to line up with the feet so that takes most of the guess work out of it. It's really a fairly easy, straightforward application.

I just ordered the silver flowery sticker (@mp3spelers.nl (http://www.mp3spelers.nl/index/product?id=243)) and a shield case. [biggrin]. Will post pictures. Now for a good screen protector [biggrin].

Edit: Check the thread in my signature for pictures.
