I recently installed the non-beta 3.41 firmware hoping that it would fix this issue but i still encounter it. When browsing through the artists i can only access the ones A - P. If I access an artist starting with T for example, it will instead take me to a completely different artist. I can access their songs when browsing by track but not artist. Has anyone else experienced this?

You did all the three steps when you where installing the firmware? Folder 0,1 and 2? If not try it.
I installed the 3.41 and I'm having the same problem as before also...
I had that problem to in 2.41b, o dont know if i still have it on 2.41... The problem was that if i choosed to play a file that was in a folder that is placed in the "MUSIC" folder the first file in the "MUSIC" folder was played, so everytime i ended up playing 30 Seconds To Mars - ..... casue that was on top of the list....
The music browser is just broken to be honest, it's in a shocking state given how long Cowon have had to work on it and how important a part of the firmware it is. With 2.41b/3.41b, selecting a track from music list or ID3 browser often results in it jumping back to the very first track in the list and playing that instead, sometimes 3 or 4 times in a row before it'll play the right track. If I use the music list/folder view mode, play a track, then while it's playing open the music list again, a completely different track is highlighted, over 100 places back up the list. Then there are the various fun duplicated album/track entries in the ID3 browser, and I've also accidentally managed twice now (with the official 2.41 firmware) to get it to somehow slip into picture view mode while in the music browser (although all you can see are the buttons at the bottom). If I click the close button, the artist/track/album text all changes to the filename of my wallpaper... ??
This is getting ridiculous Cowon - stop screwing around with dictionaries etc and get the core functionality fixed fast! Or give me the damn code + an NDA and I'll have a go at it [rolleyes]

I'm have had all the same issues.
I was having the A-P issue once. Sometimes I get nothing, sometimes, something. Each F/W is a little different.
Now, with 2.41 (non beta), I get nothing. My music list shows no songs what so ever on my Patriot 8GB SDHC card. I can access it via my Windows explorer, and sure enough there are all my MP3s. I know the ID3 tags are correct, I spent hours updating all of them. I have 90% Mp3 files and 10% ogg files, no folders what-so-ever. All files are in the card's root directory.
EDIT: I just tried my Patriot 2GB SD card that has all my MP3s arranged in folders, specific to artist, then album. Again, with firmware 2.41, the D2 shows no files what-so-ever. I tried browsing by ID3 and just by folders...the folders aren't shown correctly either. I tried adding a folder to the card with 4 images in it to try the picture viewer and it also is not working.
At this point, I am very disappointed in the D2. I really wanted to like this PMP/DAP but honestly, so far I am just frustrated and discouraged from buying a Cowon product again. I am tempted to just go get an iPod, because from what I've read, people I've talked to, they just work.
