how to you know when the d2 is fully charged. ive charged it more then 3.5 hours now, its still says battery charging.

Yeah, it'll charge to full from empty after about three to four hours.

does it give you a message like charging complete?

I believe it says Battery Full. If the display goes out, just toggle the on/off switch to the left (on) for a second.

Just a little clarity, the wall charger takes 3.5 hours and the usb charger takes about 7 hrs to charge.
