Would the clear shield, and even a Duratech or anyother screen protector + a pouch from e-bags be enough to protect my precious d2?
Or should I just spend money on a noreve or iAudio case?

It's totally up to you. I know people who keep their ipods in pouches with no other protection. Protected 99% of the time, but when its out everything is exposed. A "full time" case will add constant bulk/ugliness but protect the best, in my opinion

I dont care how itll look, I just dont want ANYTHING to damage my cowon, especially the screen :D

Me too. I don't think I got a good deal on the D2 since its brand new and I paid handling and stuff, but before this every MP3 player I've owned I kept in a case, scratchless.. and when I got a new one, I sold each one for profit :)
